      Reviews:
      * If you’re looking for a reliable, fuel-efficient small car that is also as much fun to drive as it is to look at, we think you’ll find much to love in the 2014 Mazda2 hatchback. Source: KBB.com
      * Good things come in small packages...as long as incredible engineers do the packaging! With razor-sharp handling and a rocking power-to-weight ratio, the subcompact Mazda2 delivers exhilarating fun, an EPA-estimated 35 MPG highway and unexpected standard features such as an MP3-compatible audio system and remote keyless entry with plenty of interior room to spare. Don't let its subcompact size fool you. This car has seating for 5 and the convenient fifth door allows easy access to a surprising amount of up to 27.8 cu ft of cargo room with its 60/40 split folding rear seatbacks down. The standard 6-way adjustable driver's seat, deep cargo floor, multiple cup holders, cell phone/iPod holder and other hidden storage areas help to create a custom-fit experience. Accessories like a center armrest with storage allow you to go a step further and design your own custom storage solutions. Mazda2's 1.5L DOHC 16-valve engine with VVT hails from the motorsports-proven MZR engine family. Generating 100 hp and 98 lb-ft of torque, it provides ample power while helping Mazda2 achieve excellent fuel economy, an EPA-estimated 35 MPG hwy. Tuned for day-to-day driving, this engine turns your boring commute into something more stimulating. Mazda2's 5-speed manual transmission has a short shift throw to let you quickly snap between gears. Or go with the electronically controlled, 4-speed automatic transmission, which uses slope control to give you better command when accelerating or decelerating on steep grades. Mazda has upped safety by using high tensile steel reinforcements, additional spot welds and side-impact door beams to help improve structural rigidity and strength without adding extra pounds to the car. Six standard airbags, including advanced front and front side-impact airbags and fast-inflating air curtains, along with a fold-away brake pedal assembly and collapsible steering column all work together to help protect the driver and passengers in the event of a collision. • This is an outstanding small car!

My Mazda 2, Fang, has been all over the country and has preformed flawlessly. Great for cities and less parking issues. The performance is pretty good for a car in this class. The 1:1 torque to power ratio gives this Mazda 2 just the pep it needs. Maintenance is ridiculously easy, the whole car basically needs three sockets to take the whole thing apart. Gas gets about 30 mpg. This car was a great value and had excellent reliablity and for that I give it an excellent car rating.
      • An extremely reliable car.

Simple. It’s not the best looking car and depending on your size, it may be a little small for you, but it is an extremely reliable source of transportation. I bought the car at 60,000 miles and traded the Mazda in at approximately 98,000. With the help of keeping my cars fluid clean and at the appropriate levels, I had no major problems, just a wheel alignment was due and I needed new tires.

I love this car and am only considering selling 9 years later because I can’t fit my son’s wheelchair in the trunk. Only negative to the car itself is that with his car seat behind the passenger seat, that seat has to be pulled all the way up rendering it unusable for an adult passenger. I’m like 5’2” and I don’t fit. None of these things were issues for my lifestyle when I bought it.
